Responsible Investments: Healthy Returns

Clean water.  Fresh air.  Environmentally concerned energy companies.  Good corporate governance.  Product safety.  Human rights.  These are some of the socially conscious qualities we look for when researching companies to include in the AHA Socially Responsible Equity Fund.  Pro-active research is combined with faith based investing by following the guidelines of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops which restricts stocks in companies involved in nuclear power, weaponry, gambling, alcohol, tobacco and abortion.

Our research focuses on companies that have green business practices.  For example, we seek:

·        Oil and gas drilling companies that protect the environment.

·        Mining companies that restore the earth.

·        Manufacturers with safe products.

·        Multi-national corporations with sound human rights actions.

We seek companies that are socially conscious and have good financial value.
